The JMHS Band Program will be holding a New Student/Family orientation on Tuesday, April 23. All new students and parents of the James Madison High School Band Program for the 2019-20 school year should plan on attending this important meeting.
Orientation for New/Rising 9th Grade Students and Parents is
Tuesday April 23rd 7:00pm - 8:30pm
JMHS Band Room
(access from the parking lot by entering the single red door to the right of entrance 12)
At orientation, your student will meet current JMHS band students, learn more about what to expect, and start on their way toward some of the best experiences and friendships they’ll have in high school.
At the same time, you will meet with current parents from the JMHS band booster organization. In a quick 90 minutes you’ll get a full program overview, a packet of helpful resources and forms, and be able to ask questions.
We will start on time and end on time but will stay longer for any questions.
You should have gotten a call from one of our current parents to extend a personal invitation and answer any initial questions. We try to match parents who have a student in the same section, or even play the same instrument as yours as that can sometimes be helpful. If you haven't heard from a current parent yet, we'll match you up with someone at orientation.
